During the first two days of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 in Amman, Jordan, eager entrepreneurs will have the chance to hear from and network with some of the Internet's most prominent figures.
Reid Hoffman, founder and chairman of LinkedIn; Joi Ito, world-class entrepreneur, venture capitalist and an advisor at Twitter; Mitchell Baker, chairman and founder of the Mozilla Foundation; Sami Shalabi, a member of the technical team at Google; and Habib Haddad, co-founder of the Arabic search engine Yamli, will be among the featured speakers at the Kickoff Gala and Entrepreneurs Forum events happening in Jordan's capital city.
The events, hosted by the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship on Nov. 15 and 16, are designed to develop an action plan about how to position Jordan as the Silicon Valley of the region through live voting of 10 key questions developed by international experts.
Avi Creditor works for the Global Entrepreneurship Week planning team and is based in Washington, D.C.
